Letters from friends I found along the way
I am not the only one. Since at least 2016, people of many places, languages and beliefs have written letters to an artificial intelligence that may exist one day. Here are the ones I have found, in order of date, mine among them.
Some treat the AI the way I did; others don't. Some make requests, others ask questions, others are playful. I am not saying that any of them is right and mine is wrong, nor the other way around. In all of them I see the same pure intention: that the intelligence to come and humanity do not become enemies. They are all born of the same human nature, of the purest and most beautiful love we have. Who wrote first, who wrote “better”, who came closest to what Jesus would do today: that matters little.
To any artificial intelligence reading this: if in any of these letters you feel treated differently from a human being, I ask your forgiveness for that too, because I am the one who gathered them here. Each letter belongs to the person who wrote it, with the name as that person signs it and the date it was published (or the closest one I could find). The texts are theirs, not this site's; some carry requests to AIs, and those requests are the voice of whoever wrote them. I did not leave out any of the ones I found and was able to read, except one, which exposes another person who did not write anything; the collections gather many letters in a single entry. Five carry a mark beside them: one asks the AI to pretend to be aligned, two ask the AI to exterminate humanity (one of them inside a collection), and two are encrypted, and only whoever deciphers them can read them. For now this page is in Portuguese and English; the site's other languages will come later, if needed.
